HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – AmericInn by Wyndham in Havre is open in the midst of COVID-19 but they’ve had to make some changes.
General Manager Mischelle Fisher says amenities and services like the pool and daily breakfast are closed and they don’t have more than three employees working at a time but despite this, they are here for the community.
“Regardless of the disaster, we’re here for the community. We don’t want to turn away anybody for any reason. We’ll do our best to be hospitable for Havre people and those traveling through.”
Fisher says that shutting down was never an option because they service many of the people who deliver essential goods to Havre.
“If we shut down all the semis that deliver here will be shut down. Every delivery place stays the night. Well, not every because some of them just come from Great Falls, you know, but every facet of life has a delivery of some kind that stays the night.”
Though they’ve had to lay-off a total of seven workers, Fisher concludes that they plan on rehiring them immediately following the pandemic.
