(Great Falls) – A box Elder man was sentenced on September 14th after admitting to an assault charge for strangling a woman on the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation.
Alex George Deserly was sentenced to 30 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release.
He was arrested on June 25th 2022, after medical personnel and law enforcement responded to the victims home for a report of domestic assault. Deserly pleaded guilty to assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to an intimate partner in April 2023.
Chief United States District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case.
