Memorial Day Services

Where:
Hill County Courthouse

The American Legion Post 11, American Legion Riders Post 11, and the Elks Club will hold Memorial Day services at the Hill County Courthouse on May 29th starting at 11:00 A.M. The services will consist of:

 

The Boy Scouts of America raising the American flag.

A reading of the previous years deceased Veterans.

A Veteran’s Honor Guard with a flag line for all military branches and performing a 21 gun salute.

Singing of the National Anthem.

Laying of wreaths by the American Legion and American Legion Riders.

After services at the courthouse, there will be another service at the Havre Eagles club at 202 1st Street. The service will include:

 

Post colors by the Veteran Honor Guard.

Reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Placement of a table for POW/MIA still unaccounted for.

A speech by Senator Steve Daines aide Robert Broskotter.

Reading of St. Jude’s school essays on Americanism.

A speech by Elks Exalted Ruler Mike Rappold on the American flag.

And a free will offering lunch provided by the American Legion Riders.

 

These events are open to the public and all are welcome to attend
