MDT Proposing Intersection Improvements in Havre

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Transportation has announced a proposed project to improve the intersection of US Highway 2 and 19th Avenue West in Havre, near the Holiday Village Mall.

Proposed work includes upgrading signal hardware, updating pedestrian access and realigning lanes to improve operations.

Construction is tentatively set for 2022 depending on completion of design and availability of funds.

MDT will contact all affected landowners prior to doing survey work. Staff will again contact landowners prior to construction regarding property acquisition and temporary construction permits.

MDT welcomes public comment on the proposed project.
