Skylights Fall to Saints in Frontier Conference Semifinals

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The MSU-Northern Skylights fell to the top-seeded Carroll Saints on Saturday evening in a Frontier Conference Tournament semi-final by a score of 76-49.

Northern was within one point early in the second quarter, but Carroll used a 23-4 run to end the first half and took a 40-20 advantage into the break.

Three different players reached double-figures scoring for Carroll. Former Havre Blue Pony Danielle Wagner posted 20 points, Jamie Pickens had 16 points, and Sienna Swannack added 11 points.

Peyton Kehr led Northern in scoring with 14 points, while Tiara Gilham scored eight points and L’Tia Lawrence added seven.

Carroll had an outstanding night from beyond the arc, shooting 14-of-24 from three, compared to 3-15 for Northern.

The Skylights season ends with a 7-14 record, while the Saints improve to 20-2 on the year and will play in the Frontier Conference Tournament title game at 5 PM on Monday, March, 1st.
