9/11 Ceremony at Havre Town Square

(Havre) – The American Legion Riders and the American Legion Post 11 will be holding a 9/11 ceremony at Havre Town Square at 9am to commemorate the live lost and changed in 2001. Les Johnson an American Legion Rider talks about the event coming up and what people can expect from it.

“On 9/11 we’re going to be honoring the people that lost their lives during that time it will be doing that at the Town Square here in Havre we’ll start with prayer and the national anthem Bob Brewer one of our rider members is going to have a speech that day. We’ve invited the Havre Police, Havre fire department, ambulance, Highway Patrol and the Sheriff’s Office, so we’re hoping all those guys show up. We’ll have a prayer afterwards and then Donuts coffee and refreshments afterwards.”

He continued by talking about the free ride American Legion Rider will be doing.

“When everything’s over after we’ve had coffee and donuts American Legion Riders are going to host a short ride possibly out to Beaver Creek Park and back. So, any motorcycles, cars pickups, anybody is welcome to join us.”

He finished by talking about the refreshments for the ceremony.

“Yeah, Gary and Leo is going to be donating the donuts, we’ll provide the coffee, probably orange juice or something like that, water.”
