Chinook, MT – The Chinook Sugarbeeters will look to ride their momentum as they are coming off a 38-28 playoff win over Darby last weekend and now face a tough test against an undefeated Scobey Spartans squad.
Head coach Mike Jones says slowing down Scobey’s ground game and protecting the defense against big plays will be crucial. Offensively, the Beeters will need their offensive line to hold strong and their playmakers to step up.
“We have to stop their run game and beat our keys and stay back on defense because they will throw it over the top,” said Jones.
“Offensively, we can’t get pushed back on the line of scrimmage. We have to make sure that our O-Line is holding their ground and our skill guys are going to have to make some plays.”
Chinook will hit the road to Scobey tomorrow afternoon for their second round playoff match up. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and you can catch live play-by-play action of the Sugarbeeters on KRYK.
