
CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Blaine County reported seven new COVID-19 cases on Monday, a single-day record.
Four cases were identified through community testing efforts and their exposures are under investigation. The other three cases were identified through contact tracing. One of these cases is in a staff member at Harlem Public Schools.
Out of an abundance of caution, school was dismissed immediately at 10 AM Monday morning and the District will move to remote learning until at least October 9th.
School officials are working closely and consistently with Fort Belknap Tribal Health and the Blaine County Health Department to determine if there are any risks to the rest of the school and staff population.
Blaine County has now reported 29 total COVID-19 cases. 11 are active, while 18 have recovered.
