YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Mont. (NMB) – A Connecticut woman has been sentenced to a week in jail for walking on thermal ground at Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park.
Madeline S. Casey, 26, was sentenced earlier this month in U.S. District Court. She was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and a $1,000 community service payment to the Yellowstone Forever Geological Resource Fund.
