(Havre) The Hill County Park Board met for their final planned meeting of 2024 on Monday, December 2nd.
The meeting opened with updates about potential ways the board can secure funding for their Beaver Lodge project. The park is already working with Bear Paw Development to attempt to secure funding from the USDA to help the construction along, but the board also wants to ask those in town to make contribution if they have the means to do so.
Superintendent of the Park Chad Edgar has also been in talks with both Fish, Wildlife and Parks as well as FEMA this month, and the park is working with both agencies to bring the Lions Pavilion area of the park back to pre-flood conditions, as well as make some improvements to reduce future flooding impact.
The next park meeting is scheduled for January 6th.
