Commissioners Approve Road Encroachment and Award Contract for Gravel Crushing

(Havre) The Hill County Commission met for their regular meeting on Thursday. Commissioner Bill Lanier was absent from the meeting as he was attending to county business away from Hill County.

During the meeting the board approved an road encroachment permit in North Hingham for culvert and approach installation. The commissioners awarded a contract for gravel crushing for Hill County in the amount of $450.000 to Joe Horel. A budget amendment was passed by the commission for work being done on the relief wells for the Milk River levee, and they approved hiring Boyce Construction to replace fence in Beaver Creek Park in the amount of $4,901.

Finally, the board announced an invitation to bid for construction of the Hill County Milk River Levee Fencing Project. Bids must be to the Hill County Commission by September 18th at 2pm. There will be a Prebid conference about the project on Tuesday September 2nd at 10am inside the commissioner’s office at the Hill County Courthouse.
