Havre, MT – Blue Pony girls basketball held their tryouts last week and are now in full swing preseason practices.
Head coach of Blue Pony girls basketball, Tommy brown said his tryouts are competitive and are all about building the foundation of the season.
“We do have quite a bit competition in our tryout process, but it is introduction to some of our drill work. we’re implementing our offenses, kind of our standard base offensive and defensive schemes. Kind of laying the foundation for this season.”
Coach Brown continued and explained what preseason practices will look like.
“It’s trying to get the basics down in these next two weeks and just kind of implement what we need for any game like situation. So we’re laying down the expectation to our team in practice. Really just setting the standard for those first couple weeks before we start.”
Blue Pony girls and boys basketball start their season on the road against East Helena December 6.
