COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – The Flathead Beacon reports that a Browning man is in custody after allegedly fleeing law enforcement in a stolen vehicle.
Theo Old Chief, 31, was arrested on a gravel road east of Browning by authorities from Glacier County on August 23rd.
Old Chief allegedly stole a vehicle from a Town Pump in Columbia Falls and traveled eastbound on US Highway 2.
Flathead County authorities discontinued the pursuit after the vehicle reached Hungry Horse due to unsafe driving behavior, and a Two Bear Air Rescue helicopter relocated the vehicle near East Glacier.
Glacier County Officers used spike strips to deflate a tire, but the suspect continued traveling in the vehicle before coming to a stop just past Browning.
