(FWP) Montana’s Fish, Wildlife and Parks agency is eyeing a piece of land to create a new state park.
The historic property was formerly part of the PN Ranch and is located at the confluence of the Judith and Missouri rivers between Winifred and Big Sandy.
The 109-acre section was donated to the park by American Prairie.
Montana’s Park and Recreation Board will meet on December 20th and this acquisition will be on the agenda for that meeting. Those interested in commenting on whether the board should acquire the land will be allowed to comment on it during that time.
