FWP takes another step towards RBSP controlled burns.

(Decker) Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), in conjunction with the Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation (DNRC), is proposing a controlled burn at Rosebud Battlefield State Park (RBSP) as a vegetation management strategy to reduce fuel levels and promote the health of the park’s ecosystem.

A draft of the Environmental Assessment Checklist was prepared and was recently made available for comment.

FWP determined the proposed action, will not have significant adverse impacts on the human environment according to environmental review, and after some consideration, the FWP has approved the draft.
