HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Jaycees are gathering new coats for people in need in our area. Jaycee Senator Chelby Gooch says they are working with Salvation Army to collect coats for the children on the Giving Trees and the families that are being adopted for the holidays.
“They can drop them off with Kevin Holmes at Independence Bank. They can drop them off at Verizon Wireless. Or they can drop them off at the County Office of Public Defender or they can contact any of the Jaycee members.”
Gooch says they are not running their toy drive this year so they can focus their efforts on other projects.
“We have decided to not do the toy drive this year. We’re taking on a couple of new projects this holiday season. We’re teaming up with Youth Dynamics to help out the children within Youth Dynamics. We’re looking into doing some gifts for some local veteran families.”
The last day to donate new coats will be on December 10th and will be distributed by the Salvation Army. Any extra coats will be given to the Salvation Army and distributed to others in need.
