Havre native and former NFL All-Pro Marc Mariani has been inducted into the 2023 Hall of Fame for the University of Montana.
Mariani was a wide receiver and return specialist at the University of Montana, setting the single season receiving yard record in 2009 with 1,479 yards. Mariani also held the career receiving yards record at 3,018 yards, receiving touchdowns with 29, kick return average at 27.57, yards per punt return average at 15.01, and all-purpose yards at 5,441.
Mariani was selected to the All-American Team twice in his college career. Was later drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 7th round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Mariani made two Pro Bowl appearances in his six-year pro career.
