Havre School Superintendent Brian Gum and Montana State University – Northern Interim Chancellor Dr. Jennifer Brown have been working together over the past few years to enrich the Dual Credit opportunities for students. Superintendent Gum recently sat down with New Media Broadcasters to dive more into their dual credit program.
“The Dual Credit program is classes that our high school students can take that are college based where they can obtain that college credit moving forward. The nice thing about Dual Credit vs AP or the Advanced Placement classes that different high schools may offer where you have to take a final exam and score a 3, 4, or 5 on them to receive that college credit. The nice part about Dual is our kids can take the classes here locally in Havre and then within the Montana institutions that honor that, they receive that credit.”
