HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Havre teenager has been named the Montana Youth of the Year by the Boys & Girls Club.
Patricia Morsette, also known as PJ Morsette, competed in a virtual competition on March 5th and delivered a memorized three-minute speech about her life, followed by an interview by a panel of judges.
The Havre High School junior has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line since she was in first grade, and will compete in a Southwest Youth of the Year celebration in June, with the potential to move on to the National Youth of the Year competition.
Morsette, who is the President of the Keystone Club teen leadership program, has already been awarded with $4,500 in scholarships and could increase that amount as she moves onto the regional competition.
The Boys & Girls Club of America has more than 4,700 clubs and serves over 4.6 million kids in the U.S.
