(Helena) – Recently Governor Greg Gianforte signed a bill by Republican State Representative Denley Loge into law.
House Bill 60 adds an annual fee to electric and plug in hybrid vehicle owners when they register their vehicles. The additional annual fee is based upon the weight and class of the vehicle. For electric vehicles the maximum additional annual fee is $1,100. For Plug in Hybrid vehicles the maximum additional annual fee is $700. House Bill 60 is effective July 1st, 2023.
