KALISPELL, Mont. (NMB) – The Flathead Beacon reports that Jonathan Douglas Shaw, 35, has been charged with both deliberate homicide and attempted deliberate homicide after he allegedly shot and killed a man in the parking lot of a Kalispell gym on September 16th.
Shaw will be transferred into custody after he has finished receiving treatment for a gunshot wound at a Kalispell hospital.
Shaw is alleged to have shot and killed Fuel Fitness Manager Matthew Hurley after Shaw’s gym membership was revoked when it was discovered he was sleeping in the gym’s parking lot without permission.
Shaw’s bail has been set at $1 million and his arraignment is scheduled for October 28th. He could face up to 100 years in prison or the death penalty.
