Four Montana Grizzly Tennis Players have been named to the Academic All-District Team. From the women’s team, seniors Lauren Dunlap and Maria Goheen were named Academic All-District, while junior Mortiz Stoeger and sophomore Gustav Theilgaard were selected for the men’s team.
Student athletes must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and must be a sophomore academically and athletically, while being a top performer for the team. Montana netters are some of the highest academic achievers amongst all student-athletes at the University of Montana. The men’s team earning the Dustin Hollist Award for top overall team GPA for the fifth-straight season this year with a 3.75 GPA. The Lady Grizzlies Tennis Team were not far behind with a 3.62 GPA.
Dunlap was a first-team All-Big Sky doubles selection her senior year.
Goheen is set to return for a 5th season in 2024 and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, along with being a three-time all-conference selection.
Stoeger maintained a 3.96 GPA as a junior and was an all-conference second-team singles selection.
Theilgaard played number one for the Griz this season as a sophomore and is a two-time All-Big Sky doubles pick and first-team all-conference singles recipient.
