Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern rodeo sent six athletes to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) earlier this month. Three of them were seniors and the other three were underclassmen.
MSU-Northern Lights and Skylights Rodeo head coach Doug Kellenberger said he saw flashes from those underclassmen at this years CNFR.
“The exciting thing about it was Cayda Dodgeinghorse had two solid runs, and the third one didn’t go as well, but she is only a sophomore so she can kind of build from that. And Talen (Cummings) and Chance (Threeirons), same thing, sophomores and juniors, just build on that and shoot for next year. [I’m] excited about it.”
Cayda Dodginghorse qualified for the CNFR in barrel racing and Talen Cummings and Chance Threeirons won the region title in team roping to qualify.
