MSU-Northern Rodeo Third In Big Sky Region Right Now

MSU-Northern released their 2025 spring schedule earlier this month. The crew will be in Bozeman from Apr. 10-13. After not having a rodeo last season, the Lights and Skylights will be back to hosting a rodeo at the Great Northern Fairgrounds from Apr. 18-19. The very next week will be the Miles City rodeo. Finally, the spring season will conclude in Missoula from May 2-3. The College National Finals Rodeo will take place once again in Casper, WY and the Lights and Skylights will hope to send representatives from Jun. 15-21.

As of right now the Lights are in third place as a team with 1,021 points accumulated during the fall. The Skylights also sit in third at 898.33.

Notable performers through the fall include Tobin Cummins (at 238 points) and Preston Bird (at 228 points), who are the No. 2 and 3 team rope headers in the region currently. Cummins is also second in team roping heeler, scoring another 238 points, while Chance Three Irons is right behind him at 228 points. Brittney Cox is second overall in the barrel racing with 400 points, while Brooklin Baukol is eighth at 120 points.
