No Injuries Reported in Wednesday Morning Rollover in Havre

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A rollover crash was reported early Wednesday morning on the south end of Havre, near the Border Patrol Station. Police Chief Gabe Matosich says the call came in at about 6:15 AM, but the wreck occurred at about 2:30 that morning.

Matosich says the Toyota Corolla was traveling north, when it went off the east side of the road, into the snow bank, and rolled a few times, coming to rest on its wheels. There was extensive damage to the vehicle and driver apparently abandoned it. He was later located and he reported no injuries.

Charges are pending in the case, which could include failure to remain at the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, and careless driving.

Matosich says the driver was apparently wearing a seatbelt and the roads were clear and dry at the time of the crash. They are still investigating if speed or alcohol played roles in the wreck.
