(NMB) The Havre Northstars won another win or go home game on Friday afternoon at the State American Legion Baseball Tournament defeating the Glacier Twins by a score of 9 to 3.
A five run fifth inning put the Northstars ahead for good. The big inning was fueled by Ezra Pyle, Eli Cloninger and Drake Berreth who all drove in runs. Offensively the Northstars bats finally got going as they pounded out thirteen hits in the ballgame. Cloninger, Trenton Maloughney, Jevin Jenkins and Pyle all had multiple hits for Havre. Kale Reno was good on the mound again, going 6 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on seven hits. Trenton Maloughney came in and got the final two outs to secure the win. Havre will play another loser out game on Saturday afternoon at 3pm versus Butte.
