RED LODGE, Mont. (NMB) – The Robertson Draw Fire burning south of Red Lodge remains at just under 30,000 acres with 69 percent containment as of Monday morning.
Fire activity remained low over the weekend, ironically in part because smoke from other fires helped keep surface fuel temperatures low. There have been a few reports of hotspots on the summit of Mt. Maurice, and several buckets were dropped on it Monday to cool it down.
Most public lands in the area remain closed due to the fire.
