(Rudyard) The Senior Center in Rudyard was a large part of the discussion during the December 26th commissioners business meeting.
Many volunteers there voiced their opinions that the senior program there has not been getting the attention that it deserves.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Willa Ray-Langel, a long-time volunteer with the Rudyard Senior Center, to get more information.
“We have been trying to get our senior program back up and running since we lost our cook. We found out, after been told constantly that it was posted but nobody had ever applied for the job. We found out approximately last month that they never posted the job”
Hill County Commissioner Jake Strissel said that the lack of a cook in the center has had a detrimental effect on the community and told NMB that the job needs to be posted as soon as possible.
