Tester Introduces Family Farm and Small Business Exemption Act

(Washington D.C.) – Recently, US Senator Jon Tester held a press conference, detailing his activity in recent weeks at the Senate.

In his discussion, he brought up a bill that would restore past exemptions, giving Montana students better opportunity to obtain federal student aid.

So, we introduced a bill. The Family Farm and Small Business Exemption Act, which will restore those exemptions that used to exist for family farmland and small bulsiness from being declared as available assets on the free application for Federal Student aid or, otherwise called FAFSA. This adjustment will help kids of farmers and small business owners qualify for financial aid if they need it.”-Tester
