The Havre soup kitchen, Feed my Sheep has noticed a tremendous change this year. Scott Schepp the director of the soup kitchen explains that change.
“Last year I think we had about twenty thousand meals. This year we are very close to forty thousand, if not forty thousand, so almost double.”– Scott Schepp
Scott Schepp continues to explain why that change may have occurred.
“I think it’s a combination of things we added the meals to go, and the sack lunches and we put groceries out for people to take. Each bag of groceries is counted as a meal as well. I think just the record keeping…maybe last year they didn’t keep track of that, but yeah, we’re doing well.”-Scott Schepp
