Weekly Hill County Commission Meeting

(NMB) The Hill County Commissioners met for their weekly meeting on Thursday. During the meeting they approved a resolution to reduce the speed limit from 45 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour on 82nd avenue West and County Road 462 West. That road is the cut across that runs between Highway 2 and Highway 87. They approved an Agricultural covenant request for Jacob Verploegen and current Clerk and Recorder/ Election administrator Lexi Docktor is requesting to hire former Clerk and Recorder Sue Armstrong as a temporary employee from January through July of 2024 to help with some of the upcoming election process duties. More discussion on that item will take place at next Week’s Commissioner meeting on Thursday January 4th at 10am in the Hill County Courthouse.
