(West Yellowstone) – The Custer Gallatin National Forest reports that the West Fork Fire, 23 miles Northwest of West Yellowstone stands at 954 acres, with 141 people fighting it, and is now 75% contained. The cause of the fire is till under investigation.
Substantial Containment has happened on the West Fork Fire. Infrared and gridding operations are being utilized to locate remaining heat. Roads and trails in the area are still closed and a temporary flight restriction remains in effect for drones and private aircraft.
