HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – September is Suicide Prevention month, and the Hill County Suicide Awareness Coalition is holding several upcoming events over the coming days.
Besides the Suicide Awareness walk on Thursday evening on the Northern campus, there is also going to be virtual QPR Suicide Gatekeeper trainings.
QPR stands for ‘Question, Persuade, Refer,’ and training participants learn the warning signs for suicide, how to offer hope, and how to seek help to save a life.
Training is about 90 minutes long and is free to attend.
Sessions are scheduled for Thursday, September 17th from 6:30-8 PM and Thursday, September 24th from 12-1:30 PM.
