The MSU-Northern Skylights basketball team announced the commitment of Addie Kiefer on Monday evening. The 5-foot-10 Rathdrum, ID native recently completed two years at North Idaho College, where she averaged 11.5 points per game and over seven rebounds a contest in 2023-24.
She started 49 of the 50 career games she played in for the Cardinals, averaging almost 30 minutes per game. She had pretty even splits during her community college career, but improved on 3-pointers, making four out of five attempts during this past season.
“Addie is a very athletic forward. She shot over 50 percent from the field, many times against much taller players.” Skylights coach Chris Mouat said in a press release. “She is active in transition, finishes very well around the rim, and has the ability to drive it from the perimeter.”
“She runs the floor extremely well and picks up a lot of baskets in transition,” Mouat continued. “We are extremely excited to have her in a Skylight uniform.”
Kiefer will have two years of eligibility remaining and plans on majoring in Integrated Health Science once she steps foot on MSU-N’s campus. This is the third signing of this offseason so far for the Skylights, which looks to bolster a roster capable of competing with the Frontier Conference as well as improving on an (11-18) mark and saying farewell to five seniors from 2023-24.
