(Kalispell) The Havre Blue Ponies Girls secured a second Place finish at this weekend’s State Class “A” Track Meet in Kalispell. Junior Macy Brandon led the way in the sprints, finishing 3rd in the 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter. Kaydance Reiter was 4th in the 100 meter. Ela Harbor finished 6th in the 100 and 4th in the 200 meter. Havre’s Relay team in the 4 X 100 took 1st.
In the field events, Katie Tilleman was 6th in the Discus, Roma Gum was a State Champion in the javelin, Daceen Verploegen was 3rd in the High Jump and Macee May took 3rd in the Long Jump.
Top 3 team scores were: Whitefish 74, Havre 60 and Hamilton 56.
In Class A Boys, Tommy Lewis finished 5th in the Shot Put.
