(NMB) Havre’s biggest community gathering of the year, the 46th annual Festival Days Celebration gets underway today and runs through Sunday. The weekend is packed full of events and Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Office Manager Tessa Nystrom says a weekend like Festival Days does not get put together without lots of help.
“There’s a lot of volunteers, there’s a lot of businesses, organizations, local individuals that help put this on, help plan it. We started planning a couple of months ago, really the beginning of the year people were reaching out about Festival Days. So, these last two months have been a lot of planning but there’s a lot of people that deserve a lot of credit for all the work that goes into Festival weekend.
The biggest event, the Festival Days parade features about seventy entrants this year and will begin at 10am Saturday. The parade begins at Rod’s Drive In on the South end of town and travels North down 5th avenue goes West on 3rd street and ends between the Atrium and the post office.
