Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen has announced that more than 575,000 absentee ballot packets are heading to mailboxes across the state for the upcoming November 3rd General Election. County election offices are currently issuing the ballots to active, registered absentee voters, who can expect them to arrive in the coming days.
Election officials are reminding voters that all absentee ballots must be returned to their local election office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. To ensure their vote counts, residents are encouraged to return their ballots promptly and carefully follow the instructions provided by their county.
For those planning to vote in person, election officials recommend confirming polling locations and reviewing sample ballots ahead of time. Voters will also need to bring a required form of photo identification to the polls, such as a valid driver’s license, military or tribal ID, or a U.S. passport.
Voters can track their absentee ballot, find their polling place, and review acceptable forms of identification by visiting the official state website at VoteMT.gov.
