(Havre) During this weeks business meeting of the Hill County Commissioners, the commission decided to alter the percentages for Alcohol Tax Allocations in Hill County.
Previously, Bullhook Community Health Center received 85% of the tax, and Bear Paw Recovery received the remaining 15%. Now, it’s an even split, 50% Bullhook, 50% Bear Paw.
This change will mean that each organization will receive around 8,500 dollars from the county; adding this with Bear Paws endowment from Liberty County lands them north of 11,000 dollars for the year.
When asked about this change, Bear Paw said “This money helps up cover gaps in services…”, and said the change was welcome.
