Havre, MT – Havre High Blue Pony softball is 3-4 four through the early stretch of the season. In those three wins the Blue Ponies scored a combined 43 runs.
Havre head coach Tony Vigliotti believes his team is performing best at the plate. ” Right now we’re swinging the bats really well. We hit the ball very well against Laural. In the game against Shepherd, that’s the best pitcher we’ve seen and may see all year, but we put some balls in play against her two.”
Coach Vigliotti went on to say that outside of the batter’s box his team is looking to improve on their communication. “Defensively we’re playing fairly decent just some small things, and communication is a big part of that, so we’ll work on that this week.”
The Blue Ponies are averaging nine runs a game with a batting average of .313. Up next Havre will be on the road at Custer County and Dawson County this Friday and Saturday at 3p.m.
