HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Box Elder woman was arrested early Sunday morning in Havre on a series of charges including attempted deliberate homicide.
Denise Priscilla Stump, 58, is facing the pending charges of attempted deliberate homicide, assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
Havre Police Department Chief Gabe Matosich says at 4:11 AM Sunday, they received a report a male had fallen and hit his head. Emergency Medical Technicians were dispatched to the 1900 block of 2nd Street, where they observed several stab wounds on the man’s head.
The man was flown to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls for treatment. There is no word on his condition.
Officers investigated and Stump was subsequently arrested inside the residence.
Officers recovered a knife at the scene.
Stump is currently being held without bond at the Hill County Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation, and is being sent over to the County Attorney to file formal charges.
