Havre, MT – Havre High Softball dropped both games over the weekend in Miles City and Glendive.
in the first game at Miles City The Blue Ponies gave up 15 runs in the third inning that ended the game falling 18-3. On Saturday Havre had a chance to win with a 4-3 lead before giving up 4 runs dropping the game at Glendive 7-4.
Head coach Tony Vigliotti said he wasn’t happy with Friday but was proud of how his team responded on Saturday.
“We didn’t handle the weather conditions. We didn’t pitch well, we didn’t hit well and things just fell apart and so we’ll learn and move on from that. I was proud of them on Saturday in the Glendive game Played much much better and had some chances to win. I was happy with the way they responded after Friday.”
Bree Hanson led the Pony in hits with four on Saturday and Carina Purkett threw four strikes. Next up the Blue Ponies travel to Lewistown for a battle with Fergus at 5p.m.
