(NMB) The State Class “B” Track Meet concluded on Saturday in Missoula. In the Boys meet, Chinook’s Carson Nissen won the State Championship in the Long Jump. The Beeters had two top ten finishes in the High Jump, Oliver Standiford 7th and Patrick Mckenzie 8th. Malta’s Mason Simanton was 9th. Dawson Hammond of Malta was 4th in the 100 meter and 6th in the 200 meter and in the distance races, Ethan Walker of Harlem was 5th in the 1600 and 3200. Malta’s 4 X 100 relay team finsihed in 5th place.
In the Girls meet, Chinook’s Charley Nissen took 5th place in the 400 meter run. Alexus Seymour was 4th in the 1600 and 8th in the 800. Neva Lowe took 6th in the 3200.
Malta’s Denvyr Tuss was a State Champion in the Shot put and 4th in the discus and Hanna Schoen (Shane) brought home a 7th in shot put and 4th in the Javelin.
