Chinook basketball wrapped up their weekend on the road to battle the Choteau Bulldogs.
Boy’s action led off the session, where the host claimed a 13-9 edge after the first quarter. The Bulldogs extended their lead into the intermission 32-19. Chinook started to charge back, closing the gap to trail 43-36 after three. The Beeters kept clawing, but could not overcome the deficit, as Choteau took the win 56-52.
Beeter scoring was led by Jameson Nordboe with 17 while Ryan Bell added 15.
The girls then took the court, and it was Lady Beeters from the jump, all but shutting down the Bulldogs with a 12-4 first quarter lead. The second quarter saw an even movement from both teams, where Chinook took a 20-12 lead into the locker room. Chinook doubled up on their hosts scoring in the third to lead 32-18 and held firm to defeat Choteau 48-26.
Alexus Seymour paved the way for the Lady Beeters with 15 points, with Neva Lowe contributing 13.
Friday night, February 7th, the Chinook teams return to action at the Floyd Bowen Gymnasium to host the Fairfield Eagles, bringing the top two girl’s teams in district 1B to battle one last time before tournaments begin.
