(Rocky Boy) – Recently the Montana Department of Commerce awarded the Chippewa Cree Tribe in Rocky Boy, a $240,000 Tribal Business Development grant for the C&C market and the C&C fire house market. Chairman of the Board for the C&C Markets, Calvin Jillot explains how the Chippewa Cree Planning Department played a role in securing this grant.
“They came up upon this grant and thought it would be a great opportunity to kind of see all the economic developments throughout the reservation, who would it fit the best. With our stores that we just opened up in our old building there, we thought that it fit perfectly underneath there to be able to do some upgrades, some infrastructure change.”
