DPHHS Recognizes Phillips County EMS Providers

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Public Health and Human Services has honored Emergency Medical Services from Malta for their efforts to respond to emergencies, further their professional training, educate their communities on CPR and first aid, and improve emergency care in Montana.

Coleen Kautt of the Phillips County Sheriff’s Department was named the 911 Dispatcher of the Year. Kautt is also a volunteer EMT for Phillips County Ambulance Service, which was awarded the honor of EMS Agency of the Year.

A press release says Phillips County Ambulance Service has a roster of 20 dedicated volunteer EMTs that provide 911 response and interfacility transport service to Phillips County.

They also provide community services such as CPR, pedestrian, and bicycle safety classes.
