The Montana Tech Orediggers’ golf team announced its latest recruiting class on Friday and there is a familiar name in the New Media Broadcaster’s listening area who will be on the roster. Fort Benton High athlete Casha Corder, who many heard on the radio during the District 9C basketball tournament in Havre this past season, will be the latest Oredigger woman to play golf down in Butte.
Corder’s golf accolades are extensive. A three-time state selection for her efforts on the course, she won the 2022 State Class ‘C’ title as a sophomore, performing eighth as a freshman and ninth as a junior in between. Fort Benton is currently in the middle of its golf season and Corder has a great chance to become a two-time state champion as she is one of the favorites for the Longhorns.
In addition to her golf and basketball backgrounds, she also played volleyball for Fort Benton High School. She has athletic roots and will follow as a legacy Montana Tech golfer. Her sister is former Oredigger golf standout Nikki Hardy.
