HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – Governor Steve Bullock and First Lady Lisa Bullock announced on Friday that in partnership with No Kid Hungry, a total of $212,500 in grant funds were awarded to numerous organizations for continued operation of food support programs in the wake of COVID-19.
Several local organizations were among those receiving grants.
Dutton Brady School is receiving $5,000, Lewistown Public Schools is receiving $10,000, the Chippewa Cree Tribe is receiving $10,000 and Plentywood Public Schools is receiving $7,000.
Since the onset of the pandemic, No Kid Hungry has provided over $550,000 in grant funding to Montanan organizations for emergency relief and summer meal funding.
