Havre and Chinook Wrestling Results – Malta Invite

Both Havre and Chinook wrestling participated at the Malta Invite with placing taking shape this past Saturday. In the girls’ bracket, the Lady Ponies and Lady Sugarbeeters finished neck and neck in fourth and fifth place with 50.5 and 42.5 points, respectively. The boys’ bracket saw Havre in fourth with 130.5 points and Chinook in sixth with 103.5 points. Here are some notable individual finishes by both schools:

For the Beeters, eight boys placed, led by Hayden Berreth, who took first place at 126 pounds. Owen Davies had a 165-pound second place finish. Julian Powell was third place in the 216-pound division. The girls’ dominated again as Grace Buck continued her excellence with another top finish at 105 pounds. Bailey Billmayer (at 120 pounds) and Lynley Conrad (at 235 pounds) each finished second.

The Blue Ponies had two placers runners up with Aubrey Cavan at 100 pounds and Jazymn Werk at 155 pounds. Isabella Cowan and Tilli Werk and were third place finishers at 100 and 235 pounds, respectively. The Pony boys got first place finishes from Gage Chapman at 215 pounds and Brandon Healy at 285 pounds. Isaiah Otto (at 144 pounds), Austin Cronin (at 175 pounds) and Pierce Caplette (at 190 pounds) each finished in third place.
