406MTSports came out with an update on the wrestling coaches poll, which came just during Christmas week. In Class ‘A’, the Havre Blue Pony boys’ are ranked eighth out of the 10 teams that are in the poll.
Two individuals are also in the conversation as the calendar will turn to 2025. In the 190-pound weight division, senior Pierce Caplette is the sixth-ranked wrestler in the field. At 285 pounds, junior Tommy Lewis leads the pack of six wrestlers who are ranked in the state for Class ‘A’. For the girls’, Aubrey Cavan cracked the list as the fourth-best wrestler from the 100-pound weight division.
After this Christmas break ends, the entire Pony wrestling team will make the 5-hour journey to Sidney to compete in that Triangular event. The festivities takes place Saturday, Jan. 4.
