(Havre) The Hill County Board of Commissioners met for their weekly business meeting on Thursday July 27th.
The board announced a new section of their business meeting agenda which will be for “commission comments”, Commissioner Jake Strissel explained that this is because whenever the commission meets, their meetings must be recorded according to state law. As such, when the commissioners are all working and make decisions outside of scheduled meeting times, that will be reported during this section as to keep adherence to that law.
The commissioners also approved a new split for the alcohol tax allocations for this fiscal year, splitting the distribution evenly between Bullhook Community Health Center and Bearpaw Recovery, each receiving 50% of the tax. The previous allocation saw Bullhook receiving 85%
The next meeting is scheduled for July 3rd, as the Hill County Courthouse will be closed in observance of Independence Day on July 4th.
